Client Agreement

This agreement applies when you purchase an AuthorityMD website subscription from [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] (“AuthorityMD,” “we” or “us”). By completing checkout, you agree to it.

1. The service

For $197 USD per month, AuthorityMD writes, designs, launches and manages one focused professional website for your practice. The service includes strategy and positioning, professional copywriting, custom design for desktop and mobile, domain registration and connection, hosting, booking and general inquiry integration, Google setup and submission, two revision rounds before launch, maintenance, technical support and minor ongoing updates.

Standard scope. One website for one physician, practice, clinic or medical service provider, with one primary location, up to five provider profiles and up to six core services or areas of expertise.

Not included. Patient portals, electronic health records, medical intake systems, forms that collect protected health information, online stores, membership systems, custom software, large provider directories, multiple locations, advanced databases or integrations, ongoing SEO campaigns, redesigns, and rebranding or logo development. We can quote these separately.

2. Payment

• Your first $197 USD payment is charged at checkout. Following payments are charged automatically every month on the same date until you cancel.
• Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes may be added.
• By purchasing, you authorize us to charge your saved payment method each month.

3. When work begins

Work begins after we receive your completed questionnaire and the required materials: your photos, credentials, service information and relevant links.

4. Refunds

Your first payment is nonrefundable once work begins. If you cancel before we receive your questionnaire and materials, you may request a refund of your first payment. Monthly payments after the first are not refunded, including for partial months.

5. Drafts, revisions and launch

• Most first drafts are ready within seven days after we receive your completed questionnaire, photos, credentials and links. This is a target, not a guarantee.
• You receive two revision rounds before launch. A revision round is one consolidated list of changes to the draft. Starting over with a new design or direction is not a revision.
• Your website does not launch until you approve it.
• If we are waiting on you for more than [60] days, we may pause the project. Your subscription continues while it is paused unless you cancel.

6. Minor updates

Minor updates include reasonable changes to existing text, images and links. New sections, redesigns, and additional services, providers or locations are quoted separately. We aim to complete minor updates within [3] business days.

7. Your domain

Your domain is registered in your name. AuthorityMD manages and renews it while your subscription is active. If you cancel, you keep your domain.

A standard domain is included. Premium domains, meaning any domain with a registration or renewal cost above [$25 USD] per year, are not included, but we can register one if you pay the difference. If you already own a domain, we can connect it instead.

8. Cancelling

• You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected]. No call is required.
• Cancellation stops future billing.
• Your website remains live until the end of your paid billing period and is then taken offline.
• Cancellation does not include ownership or transfer of the website. The website’s design, layout and build remain AuthorityMD’s property.
• If you want to move the completed website elsewhere, you can purchase a website transfer for $997 USD.
• You keep your domain, and your own photos, logos and materials always remain yours.

9. Failed payments

If a monthly payment fails, we’ll email you and retry the charge. If it remains unpaid after [14] days, we may take your website offline until payment is received. If it remains unpaid after [30] days, we may end the service.

10. No medical information

Your website’s contact and booking forms are for general inquiries and consultation requests only. They are not designed to collect or store private medical information, and each form tells visitors not to submit it. If you use a secure patient portal, intake system or booking platform, we can link visitors to it. You are responsible for how you handle patient information.

11. Your responsibilities

You confirm that the information and materials you provide are accurate and that you have the right to use them, including photos. You are responsible for making sure your website’s content complies with the advertising and professional rules of your licensing body. You review and approve everything before launch.

12. Limits

We can’t guarantee search rankings, traffic, patient volume or business results. We aren’t responsible for outages or changes caused by third-party services such as hosting providers, domain registrars or booking tools, though we’ll work to resolve them. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the [3] months before a claim.

We may show your website as an example of our work unless you ask us not to.

13. Changes to this agreement

If we change this agreement, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the changes apply to you.

14. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of [the Province of Alberta, Canada].
